MSMWJ201 - Use high pressure water jetting equipment
In alignment with AS 4233.1-2013 High pressure water jetting systems - Section 7.4 Refresher Training, High Pressure Water Jetting operators and assistants are required to undergo verification of competency or refresher training at appropriate intervals not exceeding 2 years. The HPWJ Operator Refresher course first assesses the competency of a qualified operator and assistant to the units of competency MSMWJ301 Operate a high pressure water jetting system and MSMWJ201 Use high pressure water jetting equipment to produce a gap analysis showing the content in which the operator or an assistant needs to be refreshed. Once assessed the Trainer only refreshes on the revealed GA content plus any updated legislation, updated Australian & NZ Standard information or any recent new safe work practices introduced by industry. The operator is then practically assessed and if successful is re-certified as competent to their operator or assistant status. Please note refresher training is required by industry however units of competency themselves do not expire unless they become superseded and significantly changed requiring updated training. The training provided by Asset Training refreshes the relevant HPWJ units of competency MSMWJ301 and MSMWJ201 fulfilling the refresher requirement of the Australian Standard and the supporting units of competency listed on the previous statement of attainment are credit transferred.

Assessment will consist of some written activities with multiple answer question format plus, a practical assessment covering the use of equipment and ability.
Evidence of prior training (Statement of Attainment / National Qualification) must be presented at the time of booking to undertake HPWJ Refresher training.
The practical assessment portion of this course is physically demanding and requires simulated work practices to be performed in an appropriate work area. Please advise if you feel you may have difficulties.
