Course Description

Operate a drain cleaning system

MSMWJ302 - Operate a drain cleaning system

Training Brief

In alignment with AS 4233.1-2013 High pressure water jetting systems - Section 7.4 Refresher Training, Drain Cleaning operators operating "Class B" pumps are required to undergo verification of competency or refresher training at appropriate intervals not exceeding 2 years. The Drain Cleaning Operator Refresher aligns itself with the Australian Standard for HPWJ because of the equipment used. The refresher course first assesses the competency of a qualified operator against the requirements of the unit of competency MSMWJ302 Operate a drain cleaning system to produce a gap analysis (GA) showing the content in which the operator needs to be refreshed. Once assessed the Trainer only refreshes on the revealed GA content plus any updated legislation, updated Australian & NZ Standard information or any recent new safe work practices introduced by industry. The operator is then practically assessed and if successful is re-certified as competent to their drain cleaning operator status. Please note refresher training is required by industry however units of competency themselves do not expire unless they become superseded and significantly changed requiring updated training. The training provided by Asset Training refreshes the relevant drain cleaning unit of competency MSMWJ302 fulfilling the refresher requirement of the Australian Standard. The supporting units of competency listed on a participants statement of attainment are credit transferred.
